Chinthe Drum were a UK punk rock band. It formed around 1989 and, after many early EPs and active trend lines by BBC Radio One, released their debut album Goosefair within 1996. Their final album, recorded when 'A Drum', was discharged within 2001.
Members
A introduction members were guitar player Bill and bassist Dave McQueen, & vocaliser and drummer Adam Lee. For their 2nd album it were joined by Jan Alkema, ex- of Compulsion for live performances.
Covers
Their breakthrough hit was the high-tempo handle of Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights", and it likewise recorded the require in Crowded House's Fall At Your Feet in a similar vein. Of their poop, Leatherface included a handle of China Drum's "Meaning" in their Little White God single; Bodyjar covered "Fall Into Place", among a total of more covers, in ''You Got Me A Girl's Bike You Idiot''.
